The Filipino Children's Fund was awarded the prestigious Lingkod sa Kapwa Pilipino Award by the Government of the Philippines for outstanding service to fellow Filipinos.

The FCF was nominated by the Philippine Consulate General in New York City and selected by a joint panel of the Philippine Presidential Commision on Filipinos Overseas and the Department of Foreign Affairs.

The Linkapil award is bestowed in recognition of individuals and organizations overseas who render outstanding service to help alleviate the plight of the poor and the needy in the Philippines.

Philippine President Corazon Aquino personally presented the Lingkod sa Kapwa Pilipino Award to FCF representative Lino Javier Inciong, father of FCF President Ross Inciong, in a ceremony at Malacanang Palace, Manila on December 19, 1991.
